Australian confectionery industry no longer has standalone association
The Confectionery Manufacturers of Australasia this week ceased operating as a stand alone association to join the larger Ai Group (Australian Industry Group).Ai Group Chief Executive, Heather Ridout, said the industry body was excited to establish a confectionery division within their growing organisation.
“As the successor to CMA Limited, Ai Group is pleased to welcome CMA Limited members to the new Ai Group CMA Sector. The new grouping will build and expand on the services previously provided to members by CMA Limited with stronger industry representation, broader resources and the full range of Ai Group services,” she suggested.
“Ai Group has had a strong representation in the confectionery industry for many years so the creation of this new CMA sector within Ai Group will benefit both Ai Group members in the confectionery industry and new members coming into Ai Group from CMA Limited.”
A number of former CMA Limited staff are joining Ai Group bringing their expertise and industry knowledge to the new Ai Group CMA Sector.
“Ai Group’s CMA sector is the right strategic fit for the confectionery industry,” CMA Limited Chief Executive Officer, Trish Hyde, said. “The membership breadth and representational reach of Ai Group combined with a commitment to confectionery issues makes this new Ai Group sector a winning formula. I’m looking forward to seeing the sector’s strength grow.”
