A Masterchef flavour for Bulla Cream

Australian dairy giant Bulla has kicked off a new Bulla Cream Masters competition, with the assistance of their new brand ambassador and Masterchef personality George Calombaris.

The competition asks consumers to upload their best original cream-based recipe to the competition’s website. The competition, judged by Calombaris, offers ten winners a place in an all-expenses-paid Bulla Cream Masterclass in Melbourne.

“Good food is all about great ingredients because great ingredients provide great flavour. That’s why cream for me is king. I want Australians to be confident about cooking with cream and to understand how it works because when you get it right it adds a little bit of love to every dish” said Calombaris.

“I love cooking with Bulla, and through our new partnership I will be able to help Aussies feel more confident about using cream by explaining the benefits and versatility of cooking with a high quality product, understanding the different types and characteristics of cream, and highlighting easy ways of incorporating it into everyday recipes,” he added.

In addition to his role in the competition and Masterclass, Calombaris will appear on the packaging for the company’s cream products.

Australian made and owned, Bulla is Australia’s biggest-selling branded cream brand, with maker Regal Cream Products also manufacturing and exporting a range of other dairy products under the label, including ice cream, table cream, yoghurt, sour cream and cottage cheese. Bulla took eleventh place in AC Nielsen’s top 100 brands in 2009, and eighth place among food brands, as well as claiming the 2010 Australian Grand Dairy Champion Cream award.
