America’s Heart Attack Grill setback by death
Las Vegas’ Heart Attack Grill’s unofficial spokesperson, John Alleman, is believed to have just died from a heart attack.
The high-fat American hamburger venue in Las Vegas is famous for its “Quadruple Bypass Burger” which contains two pounds of meat and is cooked in “pure lard” as promoted on the website. Other popular menu items include a “Butterfat Shake” and “no-filter cigarettes.”
It is reported that since the medically-themed venue’s opening in October 2011, Mr Alleman would stand outside the venue to promote it. Although not an official employee of Heart Attack Grill, Mr Alleman’s image appears on the website and on store merchandise.
Mr Alleman is the second unofficial spokesperson for Heart Attack Grill to die in its history, following the death of Blair River in March 2011. Although Mr River died of pneumonia, the 29 year-old weighed the equivalent of 261 kilograms.
Venue owner “Dr Jon” refers to customers as “patients” on a “diet.” Government agencies in the United States have stated that the American Medical Association has denied “Dr Jon” the right to continue practising medicine in the United States and that his “nurses” are not certified by the State of Nevada.
The Heart Attack Grill has said that it will not stop serving high-fat food as long as there is a demand for it.
