Pasta and pasta sauce manufacturer San Remo has launched a redeveloped range of fresh products in Australia.

The new fresh pasta range includes Fresh Unfilled (Lasagna, Pappardelle and Fettuccine), a 625g Filled range (Ravioli, Tortellini and Agnolotti) and a 350g Filled range.

San Remo said its revised fresh pasta range now uses ‘free-range’ egg and pasta at a high 12 per cent egg content. Other key ingredients include “100 per cent Australian beef and free-range chicken, fresh ricotta, no added artificial colours or flavours and no GMOs”.

“We take great quality durum and carefully mill it ourselves to produce the right grade of semolina to enable us to make brilliant pasta,” said Michael Neale, San Remo’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Now in our fresh range, we have concluded that we needed to use ingredients in our fillings that are worthy of the quality of San Remo pasta,” he said.

The new redeveloped range is available at supermarkets nationally.
