Facebook petition gets Gaytime ice cream into tubs
Street’s Ice Cream have given into public demand now offering their Golden Gaytime in a 1.25 litre tub variation.
The tub has been released after a Facebook page was created to ask Streets to turn the stick-based ice-cream into a larger scoop offering.
The Facebook page currently has over 6, 700 likes and was set up at the start of July 2015.
It did not take Streets long to respond with the ice cream manufacturer announcing at the start of August 2015 that it is now selling a tub version of the classic Australian ice-cream.
The new tub Golden Gaytime comes in a traditional Golden Gaytime flavour along with two other flavour variations, Golden Gaytime Mint and Golden Gaytime Chocolate.
The tubs have been released under the Streets Blue Ribbon brand.
Streets Golden Gaytime 1.25 litre tubs are now available in Australian supermarkets with a recommended retail price of AUD $6.99.
