Gloria JeansGloria Jean’s is now selling a “one cup filter” coffee maker in its Australian cafes.

The filter allows consumers to make their own filtered coffee at home. It uses silver foil filters instead of the usual paper ones. Gloria Jeans says the silver foil allows for the delicate flavours of the bean to pass through the filter to create the best possible tasting coffee. The coffee can be consumed with or without milk.

Gloria Jean’s Head Barista Trainer Melita Ferraro said the filter was a response to Australia’s changing coffee tastes.

“Filtered coffee is definitely making a comeback in this country as Australians look for new, convenient and stylish ways to enjoy their coffee- wherever they are – without comprising on taste,” Ferraro said.

Gloria Jean’s has partnered with Elfo to create the Swiss filter used in the One Cup Filter.

The One Cup Filter is available now from Gloria Jean’s cafes across Australia. The recommended retail price is AUD$34.95.
