ZicoCoca-Cola South Pacific is now selling a chocolate flavoured version of its Zico coconut water.

The beverage is described as a “premium chocolate-flavoured option” and a “on trend twist”. Coca-Cola South Pacific says the chocolate flavour aims to help Zico stand out from other coconut waters. It is the first flavoured option added to the Zico range since it launched in November 2014.

Gloria Young, Brand Manager for Zico, said the new products entry into supermarkets will be supported by an instore point of sale campaign targeting consumers who lead an active lifestyle, particularly adult females.

“Innovation lies at the heart of our strategy to drive growth and the launch of this product marks an exciting start of things to come,” said Young.

Zico Velvety Chocolate Coconut Water is available now from Coles and Metcash-supplied supermarkets. It will be sold in Woolworths from July 2016. It comes in 1 litre or 330ml cartons.

Competition

Coca-Cola South Pacific’s Zico will be competing against other chocolate inspired coconut waters already available in supermarkets. These include Cocobella Chocolate coconut water and Pure Protein Raw Caco coconut water.
