Woolworths now stocking ‘Magic Meatballs’
Woolworths supermarkets are now selling Al and Dan’s ‘Magic Meatballs’ in its freezer section.
The meatballs come in two varieties and include at least four different types of vegetables. An Australian mum, Alison Heagney, had the idea for the product after struggling to feed her child vegetables.
“I was concerned for my son who was such a fussy eater so I would make these meatballs and pack them with ‘hidden’ veggies and put them in the freezer as my ‘go to’ meal. They became an absolute staple in our home,” Heagney said.
“Then I started making them for friends and I suppose the rest is history – I saw an opportunity to provide my ‘meal in a meatball’ to time-poor families across the country”, she said.
Magic Meatballs are available in “Grass-fed Beef with mushroom” and “Free-range chicken with Thai herbs” varieties.
The meatballs are packaged in 240g packs sold through Woolworths. There is no recommended retail price.
