McCain launches Healthy Choice Protein Plus frozen meals
McCain is now selling a new frozen meal range in Australian supermarkets, Healthy Choice Protein Plus.
McCain says the new range is a response to consumer demand for protein-dense meals. Protein Plus Healthy Choice meals have 50 per cent more protein than regular Healthy Choice meals.
The new range comes in four varieties; Italian baked chicken, smoky paprika chicken, Thai, coconut and lemongrass chicken and chicken satay.
Head of Retail Marketing at McCain Foods, Katrina Wilson, said McCain worked with its in-house chef and nutritionists to create the meals.
“We know consumers are looking for ways to incorporate more protein and vegetables into their diets, without increasing their calorie intake,” Wilson said.
The range will be promoted through an advertising campaign with the first television commercial airing on the 17 July 2016.
McCain’s Healthy Choice Protein Plus range is available in selected Coles, Woolworths and IGA stores across Australia. The recommended retail price for each 360g meal is $7.59.
