International Spirits Challenge winners announced

The winners of the 2016 International Spirits Challenge hosted in London have been announced.

Running for 21 years, the International Spirit Challenge encourages spirit producers across the global to enter beverages for judging each year.

This year’s ‘Distiller of the Year’ award went to William Grant & Sons which won a total of 23 gold medals for its beverages which include Glenfiddich Scotch Whisky and Grant’s Whisky.

A spokesperson for the International Spirits Challenge said it was a “fantastic year for William Grant.”

Their success across so many categories has seen them take home this coveted prize,” the spokesperson said about its Distiller of the Year title.

Other winners included gold medals awarded to Japan’s Suntory Spirits for ‘Best Design and packaging for Travel’, German Discount supermarket Lidl for its Castelgy Gin and Bacardi for its Facundo Exquisito rum.
