Australia’s largest fresh potato supplier sold
The business of Australia’s largest fresh potato supplier, Oakville Produce, has been sold.
The purchaser is the fresh produce group Mitolo, which has acquired Oakville’s South Australian based farms and its packaging businesses.
No price has been disclosed.
Oakville Produce went into voluntary administration in May 2016 and Deloitte were appointed receivers.
According to an ABC news report, all assets have been sold; another party is expected to complete the purchase of Oakville’s New South Wales farms by the end of November 2016.
