CCA Managing Director steps down

Managing Director of Coca-Cola Amatil, Barry O’Connell, will be stepping down from his role.
The news comes after CCA experienced a near 40 per cent drop in its full year net profit for 2016.
In a statement announcing the news, CCA said O’Connell is stepping down so he can return to Europe. He will temporarily be replaced by Peter McLoughlin from within CCA’s executive team, who is expected to soon be permanently given the job.
McLoughlin is originally from South Africa and has long-term experience within the beverage industry, including with Carlton United Breweries and SAB Miller.
O’Connell was appointed Managing Director of CCA in July 2014 but has been in the Coca-Cola family for more than 20 years.
Prior to his Managing Director role, O’Connell worked in positions in New Zealand and across Europe.
Alison Watkins, CCA Group Managing Director, said O’Connell had built a strong foundation for its Australian beverage business
