Bensons Showbags are available on the shelves of over 200 selected IGA stores throughout Queensland and Northern NSW as part of the Showbags Bonanza Sale.

Despite the cancellation of the much-loved Ekka Royal Queensland Show, families in the sunshine state will be able to get their hands on an exciting range of iconic chocolate, confectionary and novelty showbags from Bensons showbags.com.au.

From aspiring wizards and witches to Pokémon traders and those with a sweet tooth, there is a showbag to suit all. The range includes Dairy Milk, Caramello Koala, Curly Wurly, Chupa Chups, Zappo, Warhead, Harry Potter, Hot Wheels, Bluey, Pokémon and many more Ekka favourites. The full catalogue includes 20 themed showbags available for just $5, $10 or $30.

Showbags.com.au General Manager of Retail and Production Development, Samantha Atkinson said: “Despite the cancellation of the Royal shows across Queensland, as proud champions of bringing toys and treats in our beloved showbags, we are excited to see the tradition of iconic showbags go on with our first partnership with IGA.

“We know how much Queenslanders love the Ekka, so we are thrilled to partner with IGA and hope to bring smiles to the faces of many would-be show goers across the state. Whether you are a chocoholic or your little one is Harry Potter obsessed, there is a showbag for absolutely everyone both on the shelves of IGA stores and available online to be delivered directly to your door.”

Queensland and Northern NSW IGA State Board Chairman, Frank Spano said: “IGA is a proud network of 1,400 independent, family owned and operated stores who are passionate about their local communities.

“Like many Queensland families, we were disappointed to hear that the Ekka was cancelled this year, which is why we’re so incredibly excited to be partnering with Showbags.com.au to stock a selection of everyone’s favourite showbags in IGA stores across the sunshine state. Community is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we’re constantly looking for ways to look after the locals and can’t wait to bring the show to you just in time for the school holidays!”

Showbags are available now across Queensland and Northern NSW IGA stores. The announcement follows the cancellation of the annual show, traditionally held in Brisbane in August, due to COVID-19.
