Sports drink giant Powerade has two new products hitting the shelves this month, adding ‘Powerade Zero’ multipacks and ‘Powerade Isotonic’ powder sachets to its range.

The ‘Powerade Isotonic’ powder sachets are designed for “on-the-go occasions”. Each sachet will make the equivalent of a 600mL serve of the sports beverage – the same size as the ready-to-drink bottle already available in stores. The powder will be available in ‘Mountain Blast’ flavour in a 5 x 37g multipack. Another flavour, ‘Berry Ice’, will be added to the range in April 2013.

‘Powerade Zero’ multi-packs will be available in grocery stores in a 3 x 600mL format in ‘Berry Blast’ flavour.

The Company says that having launched Powerade Zero in Australian last year, it was the first zero sugar sports drink in the Australian market. “The multi-pack is a zero sugar, low calorie sports hydration offering which delivers consumers excellent value-for-money in a three-pack format,” said Alex Pettigrew, Powerade Marketing Manager.

‘Powerade Zero’ is designed for “lighter sporting activities when you do not need the energy provided by the carbohydrates in Powerade Isotonic and is an excellent option for sugar conscious consumers looking for additional hydration around workouts”. The Company says ‘Powerade Zero’ is also suitable for diabetics.
