Australian juice bar group has launched a limited edition range of ‘Red Raw’ juices made with a range of red-coloured fruit and vegetables.

Boost Juice is Australia’s largest juice bar operator, founded by Janine Allis in 2000. The first Boost Juice bar opened in Adelaide in South Australia, and the Company has since expanded under a franchising operation. It now has over 300 stores across Australia, Asia, Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

The Red Raw range, which is available between 26 January 2015 and 22 February 2015, includes the Red Reboot Smoothie and the Red Remedy Juice, which are made with a combination of vegetables and fruits, including beetroot, raspberries and strawberries.

“Our nutritionists and product developers have done an amazing job creating these healthy products that not only taste amazing, but are as raw as you can get,” said Janine Allis, Boost Juice CEO.

“The success of the green range has shown us that people want to eat simply real food that is as close to the tree as possible, but they have to taste amazing, which these new products will not disappoint. To be truly healthy we need to eat a range of colours, so go red.” she said.

Other beetroot ‘health’ studies and products

Australian Food News has previously reported on several other products launched containing beetroot that have been marketed on the ‘healthiness’ of beetroot. In July 2013, Australian Food News reported that fruit and vegetable juice brand Beet It Organic had launched a new concentrated beetroot drink in Australia, while in January 2014, Australian Food News reported that a new ‘value-added’ beetroot range, Love Beets, had been launched in Australia by family-owned and operated fresh produce company OneHarvest.

In May 2013, Australian Food News reported that a study published in the American Heart Assocation journal Hypertension had found that a cup of beetroot juice a day may help reduce blood pressure.

Boost Juice’s Red Raw Range will be priced from $6.90 and available at Boost Juice stores nationally from Monday 26th January to Sunday 22nd February 2015.
