Nanna’s launches ‘crumble meets cake’ new dessert
Frozen fruit and dessert brand, Nanna’s, has launched a new dessert in Australia that it says “combines the comfort of cake with the cosiness of crumble”.
The Nanna’s brand is part of the Patties Foods brand portfolio, which also includes Four’N Twenty, Herbert Adams, Patties, Creative Gourmet and Chef’s Pride.
Nanna’s Crumble Cake comes in two delicious flavours, Lemon Coconut, and Choc Berry. Each has a cake base, and a crumble top, with flavours in between. The new Nanna’s Crumble Cakes are Heat or Thaw, which means they can be enjoyed served hot from the oven or microwave, or simply thaw and eat at room temperature.
Nanna’s Lemon Coconut Crumble Cake features tangy lemon curd filling and coconut crumble topping.
Nanna’s Choc Berry Crumble Cake features a chocolate cake with a berry sauce made with real raspberries and blueberries and a chocolate chip crumble on top.
Nanna’s Brand Manager Hannah Audas said the Crumble Cakes were developed for “busy families and smaller households” because consumers can choose how much you want to serve each time, and pop the rest back in the freezer.
“Nanna’s Crumble Cakes can be served hot, with cream and ice cream for an easy dessert, or you can cut off a slice to enjoy as a delicious snack with your coffee,” Ms Audas said. “The great new flavours are sure to be a hit with cake lovers, young and old,” she said.
Nanna’s Lemon Coconut Crumble Cake 350g, and Nanna’s Choc Berry Crumble Cake 390g, are available in the frozen dessert section at Woolworths supermarkets nationally, RRP $5.99.
