Cobs Popcorn has expanded into producing chips.

The company’s new ‘Hip Chips’ come in a variety of flavours and are made from a blend of potato, rice and corn.

Hip Chips are gluten free and are described by cobs as containing “nothing artificial”.

The three flavours now available in the Hip Chips range include:

  • Smokey chipotle and beetroot
  • Tomato cheese and olive
  • Sweet chilli and sour cream

A Sea Salt flavour is also expected to be released soon.

The chips are available for purchase from independent grocers and speciality retails. The recommended retail price is AUD $3.45 for a 90-gram packet.

Cobs Popcorn was founded in 2004 by John and Ravit Walys, who began making the products in their home kitchen. Today the company sells its popcorn through Coles, IGA, FoodLand, Thomas Dux and Boost Juice. Its popcorn range includes a range of regular, organic, sweet and different flavour options.
