Organic Nescafe instant coffee now available in Australian supermarkets

Nestle has launched an organic version of its popular Nescafe Gold instant coffee.
Nestle says the organic version is part of its commitment to set the benchmark for reducing the footprint of coffee production.
“It aims to provide Australians with the option of a high-calibre coffee to drink easily at home, that is made with coffee beans that are sourced in a socially responsible and environmentally friendly manner,” Nestle said.
The coffee has been certificated organic by the National Association for Sustainable Agriculture. It has also been certified by Fairtrade.
Rebecca Dobbins, Nescafe Head of Marketing, said Nescafe is excited to share a coffee that is socially conscious.
“Australians enjoy over 11 billion cups of coffee a year and Nescafe Gold Organic is part of our ongoing efforts to prioritise sustainability, ensuring coffee lovers of the future can wake up to their favourite brew,” she said.
Nescafe Gold Organic is available from May 2017 at Woolworths, Coles and independent supermarkets in 100g jars.
