A National Wine and Cheese Day?

Posted by AFN Staff Writers on 3rd July 2019

When it came to The Craft & Co’s attention that other countries around the world are celebrating a “National Wine & Cheese Day” later this month, it begged the question – why don’t Aussies celebrate this pairing, in a country that produces some of the finest examples of both? So to get the concept up and running, The Craft & Co’s very own cheesemakers and winemakers got together to organise a pop-up market stall in Collingwood to showcase their house-made products for their take on National Wine and Cheese Day on

Thursday 25th July (from 1pm til 7pm). They’ll be offering FREE tastings of estate-grown wine and house-made cheese on the day, and also offering some sharp cellar door discounts too. They’ll also be launching their very delectable grape-skin-infused cheese “Bacco” (named after the Roman god of wine of course) on the day too! So they’re asking all local wine and cheese aficionados to save the date and celebrate one of the best food and drink matches ever concocted! There’s no tickets or bookings required – first come, first served. Will you be doing anything better than tasting free artisanal cheese and wine on a cold & wintery Thursday in July? They doubt it…

See attached for some relevant pics of their cheesemakers Katia & Sabrina Cappadocio, various specialty house-made cheeses, cheese market stand, wine & cheese paddle and an estate-grown wine – you’re able to use any of the pics without credit (as The Craft & Co owns them all)

And punters can make a day of it and have a bite to eat or a drink in their bar before or after their spree. There’s plenty of items on offer to keep the cheese and wine theme going – like a beer & cheese soup, grilled cheese, Shiraz-braised beef ribs or cheese & wine paddles…
