Publicly-listed Australian retail food brand manager and franchisor, Retail Food Group Limited, has announced it is making financial preparations to make more acquisitions this year.

Making its announcement through the Australian Securities Exchange, Retail Food Group said a “plethora of acquisition and other growth opportunities continue to present themselves” to the company.

Retail Food Group is currently the intellectual property owner, franchisor and manager of the Donut King, Michel’s Patisserie, Brumby’s Bakeries, bb’s cafe, Esquires Coffee Houses and Big Dad’s Pies franchise systems. In February 2012, the company acquired Pizza Capers, marking its entry into the Quick Service Restaurant sector.

Retail Food Group reported this week that it has increased its loan facility with National Australia Bank from AU$95 million to AU$135 million, as well as restructuring its business divisions to function more efficiently.

Retail Food Group’s CEO, Tony Alford said, “Not only will the increased facility assist in funding of the Pizza Capers acquisition, it provides sufficient headroom to position Retail Food Group for future acquisitive activity whilst providing shareholders with the comfort of an extended facility maturation date to September 2014.”

Retail Food Group has not made public any potential acquisitions in the pipeline.
