Face recognition technology to help combat under-age sales of alcohol
New technology has been created to assist convenience store operators with identifying consumers who are underage. The technology will compare the potential consumer’s face to that of people who have previously been caught for under-age purchasing of alcohol or tobacco.
The facial recognition software will be trialled in the UK later this month.
