Dr Brendan Nelson, who is set to exit politics at the next election, is joining The Remedies Group as a Strategic Advisor to the Board.

The Remedies Group is a privately held Australian company comprising two specialist divisions: Remedies Products – marketer and distributor of healthcare products specifically targeted to convenience shoppers – and Remedies Print. They market and distribute convenience formats of brands such as Nurofen, Herron and Strepsils to retailers including Coles, Woolworths and 7-Eleven.

“I’m excited to be getting involved with the Remedies Group,” Dr Nelson said. “There are a number of sectors where Remedies work that fall under my area of expertise, and I’m looking forward to getting involved and helping to move things forward for them.”

Dr Nelson will be involved with the company on an ongoing basis, and will be working closely with the board of Remedies Group to help move the business forward over the coming year.

“It is an important time for the business, in terms of growth, and also dealing with opportunities and challenges,” Darryl Jackson, General Manager for the Remedies Group added. “It’s vital that we have the right people on board, and by that I mean everyone from the packaging team, to the people looking at the strategic vision of the business at board level.”
