Tourism Victoria has unveiled the tenth edition of its official The Wine Regions of Victoria guide and, for the first time, it is also available in iPhone app format.The Wine Regions of Victoria app brings information about Victoria’s 22 wine regions and more than 240 wineries to wine lovers’ fingertips anywhere, anytime.

Featuring enhanced mapping functionality, the new app also offers instant access to winery contact details; including websites, phone numbers and addresses, a ‘wineries near me’ locator feature, itinerary planner and list builder for favourite wineries and tasting notes.

The new iPhone app is a great idea, which makes wine tasting much easier for both tourists and locals.  It’s fantastic to see a tourism body adapting to the times and embracing this new technology to benefit not just tourists and users of the app, but the wineries and tourist attractions themselves.

The printed guide also profiles boutique craft breweries which have become a unique attribute of the State’s food and wine offering, as well as a variety of restaurants, farm gates and produce stores.
