Coles launches into the gluten free sector
Australian supermarket group Coles has launched a new gluten-free range, Simply Gluten Free, that includes more than 40 products.
The new range, which Coles said was “developed with a focus on convenience, taste and price”, includes pizza bases and pasta, cereals and cakes, and breads.
“We understand that living with gluten intolerances, depending on the individual, can be difficult and following a gluten-free diet is often inconvenient,” said Vanessa Hattersley, Coles Nutrition and Wellbeing Manager. “The new Coles Simply Gluten Free range has been created with these customers in mind, offering more gluten-free products at better value price points all in the one place,” she said.
“The Coles Simply Gluten Free range aims to offer delicious, convenient, quality products that don’t compromise on taste,” Ms Hattersley said.
The Simply Gluten Free range is available in Coles supermarkets. Products are located in the health food aisle, freezer section and the bakery.
Gluten free is a great way to make money. I remember when lactose intolerant was the fad.
They are full of soy and I don’t think they are GMO Free. Might be Gluten free, but what about chemicals and additives. It isn’t just about the Gluten. These are packed with white sugar, sodium and preservatives. Anything with dried fruits contain sulphites. Nothing healthy about Coles products. They don’t deserve to be in the health food aisle.
I went to coles and had a look at the ingredients on gluten free products. No wonder people are still feeling unwell after consuming gluten free products, they are full of preservatives and chemicals.
