Tyrrells Crisps launches in Australia
UK-based potato crisps brand has launched in Australia.
Australian Food News reported in June 2014 that the potato crisp maker had signed a deal with Australian supermarket giant Coles to bring the premium brand to Australian supermarket shelves.
Tyrrells Crisps is based in Herefordshire in the UK, and produces premium crisps from the potato varieties Lady Rosetta and Lady Claire. The Company said the crisps are hand cooked in small batches with the skin on by a “master fryer”, and “doused in only natural seasonings”.
Tyrrells Crisps said its crisps are “thick and crunchy with no greasy feel”, “contain nothing artificial, are sans MSG and gluten free”. The Company said many varietals in its range are also vegan friendly.
Six flavours are available including Lightly Sea Salted, Sea Salt & Cider Vinegar, Sea Salt & Cracked Black Pepper, Mature Cheddar & Chives, Sunday Best Roast Chicken and Sweet Chilli & Red Pepper.
Tyrrells Crisps are available exclusively at Coles supermarkets nationwide from July 2014, retailing for $4.19.
